Yuji Agematsu creates small sculptures which are formed from discarded objects placed within a cellophane packages. The objects are collected during Agematsu’s daily walks and are put together as a daily record. The sculptural assemblages are then displayed in a calendar like grid where sculptures are placed in a position that marks the day it was made. Think they would be quite interesting to look at in real life

Looking at Agematsu’s work enabled me make that connection to assemblage. I have been collecting from the beach and the lakes and creating work with those objects - an assemblage encased within bioplastic.
