Combining Bioplastic with Root Systems
While waiting for the various root systems I was. cultivating to grow, I encased some hydroponically grown lettuce roots in the algae bioplastic. The purpose of this work was to establish how the root system and the bioplastic integrated and if the bioplastic would ooze enough to drip and cause a puddle. If I were to create some oozing pods or a rope with the root systems and bioplastic, would the material do what I wanted it to. It seems it would but I would need to apply heat as I was installing to ensure the first and biggest expression of moisture happened in the installation.
The combination of materials is quite abject, it invokes an impression of being something dragged out of a shower drain. Is the bioplastic protecting it or protecting the viewer? What is oozing? Is the bioplastic containing it properly/safely? Does it smell?
