Designing a Root Weaving “Loom”

With the processes I have been undertaking to create root systems, I thought about the possibility of creating a root system weaving “loom”. Rather than just setting up growing systems on tables or on the floor, I wanted to design something that had a clear base so that the root system could be seen. There would be a mirror under the table to reflecting the root system. I sketched a few ideas and made a little mock-up from a matchbox just to try get my head around requirements. I would need a clear base with a shallow tray, which would house a clear acrylic pattern template, a frame with metal mesh and a piece of netting or cloth for seeds to grow on. A mirror would sit on the floor under the table. I was thinking forward to this being part of an installation for mid or end of year.
