Material Investigations

Having a few pieces of bioplastic from the first large sheet I poured, I decided to leave them to cure to see how they would form, how they would look and what their material integrity would be. I manipulated them a little; the piece in the first image was rolled, the one in the second image was twisted and folded, and the piece in the third was split and opened (the two layers of bioplastic from the seperate pouring). Beyond the initial placement, the material did its own thing in curing. This bioplastic did have glass beads in it and it was interesting to see the different concentrations show after the bioplastic had cured. It is difficult to capture these I would really like to see this bigger so I really hope I can successfully create a few larger sheets.
